Amorphous metals, or metallic glasses, combine the strength of metals with the disordered structure of glass, offering exceptional strength, elasticity, corrosion resistance, and unique magnetic properties. Advances in additive manufacturing enable bulk production, expanding applications in electronics, healthcare, aerospace, and energy. While cost and processing challenges remain, European research and Horizon Europe projects are driving their industrial adoption.
