Seeking for partners for graphene based materials and energy harvesting/storage applications
Updated: Jul 18, 2022
After engaging initial discussions with some of our partners, at NETO Innovation, we are interested in arranging a consortium for HORIZON-CL4-2022-DIGITAL-EMERGING-02-18 topic from Horizon Europe Cluster 4. The topic addresses 2D materials (such as graphene)-based devices and systems for energy storage and harvesting.
Topic ID: HORIZON-CL4-2022-DIGITAL-EMERGING-02-18
Title: 2D materials-based devices and systems for energy storage and/or harvesting
Call: Digital and emerging technologies for competitiveness and fit for the green deal
Deadline: November 16th 2022
Topic budget overview: 9 M€
Budget per project: 4.5 M€
Type of action: RIA
Technology Readiness Level - TRL: From 3-4 to 5
Demonstrated added value of 2D materials (2DM) for energy storage devices and systems.
New technology solutions for portable energy sources outperforming alternative technologies (i.e., Li-ion):
o energy and power density,
o operational safety,
o long-term stability,
o mechanical flexibility,
o light weight, thin thickness,
o and low cost.
Final applications: power-demanding smart devices, Internet of Thing (IoT) sensors and wearable electronics, electric power grids/solar farms/wind farms, airplanes or cars.
Activities to be engaged
Proposals should also work on structural batteries and structural supercapacitors and related production techniques.
Functional printed micro-flexible supercapacitors.
Proposals addressing energy harvesting should investigate/establish proof of concepts.
Develop 2DM-based devices for energy conversion that can produce electricity in response to e.g., light, moisture, flowing liquid, friction, pressure force, or heat with unprecedented characteristics or unique functionalities.
Integrate the value chain and incorporate the relevant manufacturing technologies needed to bring the developed devices towards the market.
Contribution to the governance and overall coordination of the Graphene Flagship initiative.
